At Oak Arbor School, we believe in hands-on learning. Our students go beyond the classroom, exploring museums, nature centers, farms, and businesses. As they grow, so do their adventures, including exciting overnight trips in their upper-class years to places like Ontario, Chicago, and Mackinac Island. These experiences inspire a love for learning and create lifelong adventurers.
"The greatest gift we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence" Maria Montessori
The theme this year is "Strength of Character". Healthy character development is a key element of education at Oak Arbor School. Throughout the year, this be the topic of our classroom worship services and Chapels. And we will discuss ways to make this theme practical and applicable throughout the school day.
Every year, we choose a charity to support with our casual day Fridays, and also with other small fundraisers. This year, 2024 - 2025, we are happy to support Kids Empowered. Please visit their website for information on how they help the visually impaired and blind to live a more independent life.
