SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT

Learn • Grow • Belong — The Heart of Christian Montessori at Oak Arbor

At Oak Arbor, faith and learning come together to nurture the whole child.
We are a Christian Montessori school rooted in the simple, timeless teachings of Jesus:

Love God.
Love your neighbor.
Choose what is good.

Our tradition is over 100 years old, deeply Christian, and focused on how the Bible’s stories guide our daily lives, helping us become useful, caring people who reflect God’s love.

LEARN
Learning God’s Love Through Bible Stories and Daily Worship

We believe children learn best when spiritual lessons are part of everyday life.
Through joyful worship, simple prayers, songs, and stories from the Bible, children learn:

• God is loving
• We are created for a purpose
• Kindness and honesty matter
• We can turn to God for help

Primary (Ages 3–6)
Gentle, joyful worship and Bible stories introduce God’s love in simple, meaningful ways.

Lower Elementary (Grades 1–3)
Daily worship and twice-weekly chapel deepen children’s understanding of gratitude, kindness, and making good choices.

Upper Elementary (Grades 4–6)
Religion classes and thoughtful discussions encourage students to apply Christian principles in real-life situations.

Learning about God isn’t separate from learning about the world—
it all works together to shape wise, thoughtful, compassionate children.

GROW
Growing in Character, Purpose, and Spiritual Strength

Montessori education and Christian teaching reinforce one another beautifully.
Children grow by practicing the values we learn from Scripture:

Respect
Responsibility
Forgiveness
Service
Integrity
Kindness

We emphasize the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule — everyday guides for growing into a person who does what is good and cares for others.

From tying shoes to solving conflicts to helping younger classmates, children practice faith through action.
This is spiritual formation at its most natural and joyful.

BELONG
A Community of Faith, Love, and Welcome

Oak Arbor is part of the New Church, a Christian tradition focused on living what Jesus taught: love, wisdom, and freedom.
We believe:

• There is one loving God, Jesus Christ
• Everyone has eternal value
• Faith becomes real when expressed in kindness and service
• Each child is on a unique, God-guided journey

Families do not need to be New Church to feel at home with us.
We welcome all who appreciate a values-based, spiritually nurturing environment.

At Oak Arbor, children experience what it means to truly belong—
to a caring community, to a life of purpose, and to God’s love.
