SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT

Love - Serve - Renew - Follow: Embracing Life's Divine Path at our School

At Oak Arbor Christian Montessori School, education is more than academics—it's a sacred journey of the heart, mind, and spirit. Our foundation is the Bible. Grounded in the timeless wisdom of the Montessori method and the New Church faith, we guide children toward lives of purpose, compassion, and divine connection.

Spiritual Enrichment is at Our Core

We believe that spiritual growth is as essential as intellectual and emotional development. At Oak Arbor, worship, reflection, and spiritual curiosity are part of the daily rhythm in every classroom.

Worship & Reflection by Age:

  • Primary Classroom (Ages 3–6):
Children end each day with joyful worship, engaging with Bible stories that introduce God’s love in simple, beautiful ways.
  • Lower Elementary (Grades 1–3):
With age-appropriate depth, students begin discussing and reflecting on Bible lessons and participate in twice-weekly chapel worship.
  • Upper Elementary (Grades 4–6):
Faith exploration deepens through religion classes, regular chapel, and classroom worship that encourages thoughtful application of spiritual principles.

Guiding Values for Life
Our spiritual curriculum is built on universal truths that shape character and community:

  • Charity – Loving others sincerely
  • Faith – Trusting Jesus Christ as the source of all truth and love
  • Good Works – Acting usefully and responsibly
  • Repentance – Practicing self-reflection and striving to improve
  • Obedience to Divine Law – Living in alignment with God’s commandments

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16

The Heart of Our Faith: The New Church

The Bible is our foundation at Oak Arbor Montessori, inspiring our spiritual framework through the principles of the New Church; a Christian faith focused on love, wisdom, and daily spiritual practice.

We understand that faith can be complex, and spiritual truths can feel vast and hard to grasp. The New Church acknowledges these questions, not with rigid answers, but with a welcoming approach that values clarity, curiosity, and compassion.

At its core, the New Church teaches that Jesus Christ is the one God, making God personal, loving, and close; someone we can know and have a relationship with.

We believe that love in marriage can become spiritual and last to eternity. Marriage, in its traditional form, a sacred covenant between one man and one woman; is a gift from the Lord, meant to grow through mutual support, friendship, and shared spiritual purpose. When rooted in divine principles, marriage is not only strengthened through life’s challenges, but continues beyond this life.

What We Believe and Practice:

  • The Bible holds deep spiritual meaning that helps us live with purpose and love.
  • Faith and action go hand in hand—salvation is about how we live, not just what we believe.
  • Spiritual truth brings freedom—when we live by it, we grow closer to God and to others.
  • Love is the foundation—above doctrinal differences or religious labels.
  • Every person has value—and everyone is invited to live a life of service, integrity, and renewal.

This isn’t about joining a religion—it’s about experiencing a new way of seeing Christianity, where love is central, and life is seen as an opportunity to walk with the Lord daily.
